House-style file steak

You will amaze your guests with this dish!

  • 1 fillet steak (beef) weighing 2.5-3 kg, Ø 10-12 cm
  • 2 tbsp mustard powder
  • 120 ml French dressing

  1. Wash the fillet steak and pat dry 10-24 hours before grilling. Sprinkle the meat with mustard powder and cover generously with French dressing. Place in a glass bowl, cover with cling film and place in the fridge.
  2. Preheat the grill at full power for 10-15 minutes. Remove the meat from the refrigerator while you preheat the grill.
  3. Reduce to medium power. Oil the rust.
  4. Place the fillet steak directly on the grill and let it cook for 20 minutes. Turn 1/3 every 6 minutes and keep brushing with meat juice.
  5. Place fillet steak on a cutting board and cover with foil and a tea towel.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with your favorite sauce.
