Fresh shrimp wrapped in delicious bacon make the perfect appetizer for your barbecue party
Ingredients
- 2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 20 large shrimp, peeled
- 10 thin slices of Italian pancetta, halved
Instruction
- Mix all ingredients, except shrimp and pancetta, in a medium bowl to form a marinade. Place the shrimp in the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes. You can use any bacon instead of pancetta. Put this in a pan and fry on the side cooking plate on MEDIUM for 1 minute on each side until crispy. grill
Preheat to HIGH and oil the grill grates. Wrap shrimp with pancetta and secure with a toothpick.
- Grill on HIGH for 3-4 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn slightly pink and start to shrink.
